This weekend the cherry blossom were out so my wife and I took a day to go cherry blossom viewing. Neither of us likes the crowds of the main places that people gather to view them, so we headed out to the countryside and found a river lines with them without hardly another person around:

Lucky you!
I've gone in late September, when the orange fragrant bushes/tress were blooming(osmanthus, I think).
Do they have perfume like that in Japan?
Streets smelled amaizing.

I want to tell you how much I enjoy all your photos. My favorite have been the artisitc custom utility hole covers. Thank you for taking the time to make these photos and to post them here.
Now, may I ask what are the things beside each tree? The trees are too big to benefit from staking. Maybe they are barriers to protect the trees from being hit by cars? And are these actually fruit bearing trees, or do they not produce fruit?
